While Apple did not upgrade the old TV box for a long time now, today in a virtual event the company introduced the second generation Apple TV box with new revamped Siri remote control and smart colour balance features. The new TV is powered by A12 Bionic chip for enhanced graphic performance, audio and HDR video processing.
According to a statement, Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing said, “Apple TV 4K is in a category of its own, leveraging a deep integration of Apple hardware, software, and services that delivers a massive upgrade to any TV for the very best cinematic experience.”
The latest colour calibration feature can be managed using iPhone. The newly designed Siri remote is said to have clickpad control for five-way navigation and touch-enabled directional swipes. Siri would assist in searching for channels and shows and control accessories as in other gadgets like iPad and iPhone.
Apple TV 4K is made to deliver home theatre experience with easy access to movies and entertainment shows. It further supports in fast motion experiences like performing workouts with Apple fitness apart from usual apps like Apple Arcade, AirPlay and Apple Music.
The new Apple TV is priced from INR 13,500 to INR 15,000 approximately. The company is continuing the former model with the new remote.
