While popular for its feature-heavy and easy-to-afford smartphones, Xiaomi is also known for its laptops, smart wearables, TVs, and other products. Amid a busy 2021, Xiaomi is back with another stunning product in the form of Xiaomi Mi TV.
Xiaomi has been busy expanding its excellent TV range in not just China but in India as well. The Chinese giant is set to continue its momentum of releasing stunning TVs with the new Xiaomi Mi TV. The Mi TV with the codename ‘Croods’ was recently spotted on Google Play Console, revealing a few key specs.

With the upcoming Mi TV getting listed on Google Play Console, it hinted that the TV is closed to being launched while it also revealed a couple of key specs. According to the listing, the Xiaomi Mi TV will be powered by the MediaTek T31 chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The chipset will house 4xARM Cortex-A55 cores that clock in at 1.2GHz. As for graphics, the upcoming Mi TV will feature an ARM Mali G52 GPU that clocks in at 550MHz.
While the exact display size isn’t known, it is expected to come with a Full-HD resolution of 1920x1080p and a 320 DPI. This essentially suggests that the TV could be a budget model. As for the software, the TV is expected to run on Android TV 10 out of the box.
The TV is also expected to come with a built-in Chromecast, Google Play Store, Google Assistant, and support for popular streaming platforms like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc.
Mi TV could be the next mid-range smart TV to be launched by Xiaomi
Reports hint that the upcoming Mi TV could be a part of the Mi TV 4X Series. Additionally, with the upcoming TV coming with a codename that is named after a popular animated movie, and Xiaomi having a reputation of codenaming its smart TV range after movies, it looks like the upcoming Mi TV could be Xiaomi’s next mid-range smart TV.
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi TV could follow the launch of the Mi QLED TV that was launched in December of last year. The Mi TV could pack premium features like Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support. With the TV appearing on the Google Play Console, the official launch seems close and more details are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
