TCL confirms launch of Mini LED TV C825 in May

  • Apart from supporting the traditional Dolby Vision and HDR, the TV is also expected to support Dolby Vision IQ.
  • C825 is said to be equipped with quantum dot technology, which is expected to perk-up the picture quality and colours.

The China-based global electronics firm TCL has again announced to launch its upcoming Mini LED TV C825 and QLED TV C725 in May 2021. Based on Android 11, it launched its smart TV, known as TCL P725, which is a backlit LCD TV and it comes with loads of new-fangled features like a webcam, hands-free control, and also the availability of screen sizes is from 43-inch to 65-inches.

In an exclusive interaction with The Digit, Mike Chen, general manager, TCL India, stated that by mid of May Mini LED TV C825 and C725 with video conferencing will be unleashed. The C825 is going to be the company’s second-generation mini-LED TV. Compared to other products of this segment, users are expecting better brightness and contrast due to the availability of full-fledged backlighting coupled with local dimming. 

Moreover, the C825 is said to be equipped with quantum dot technology, which is expected to perk-up the picture quality and colours of the TV. Apart from supporting the traditional Dolby Vision and HDR, the TV is also expected to support Dolby Vision IQ that utilizes the metadata from the content being consumed along with the TVs light sensor, which will offer users a crystal-clear picture quality.

Another uniqueness of this TV will be that according to the lights of the room, the TV’s settings can be adjusted automatically, which further provides an enhanced viewing experience. Same as the TCL P725, TCL C825 also supports HDMI 2.1 for video conferencing.
