Vivo is now all set to unveil its new handset, known as Vivo S9, on its home soil in China on March 6. But prior to the launch, some of its important specifications have surfaced online. According to the company, Vivo S9 is going to be the first smartphone that will be backed by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G chipset.
The new leaks from Arsenal and Digital Chat station have stated that the phone would appear with a dual selfie sensor and a 90Hz display. The images that are leaked clearly show that the phone would be furnished with a triple rear sensor.
Arsenal mentioned that the phone’s Dimensity 1100 processor apparently scores 600,000 on AnTuTu which is equal to a Snapdragon 865 SoC. But, there is a confusion regarding the battery back-up because a promo image from a different post mentioned that it would be backed by a 4,400mAh battery, while Arsenal said that a 4,000mAh battery would power this device.
Moreover, it will feature a 33W Flash Charge for fast charging, while additional leaked features include a 44MP selfie sensor backed by a Samsung GH1 camera module for photography. The phone would be about 7.31mm in thickness with 168gram weight. There is also widespread speculation that this device might feature a unique ‘front micro slit double soft light’ technology, which is yet to be defined by the company and technology experts.
Along with featuring the first-of-its-kind 10 colour gradient design, the phone could appear with a 2.5D glass with aerospace aluminum-magnesium alloy.
As of now, there are no details or speculations about the pricing of the Vivo S9, but leaks suggested that it would appear in two variants; 8GB+128GB ROM and 12GB+256GB ROM.
