Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2, Samsung’s first laptop to feature the QLED display technology is now available for pre-orders in the United States. The Chromebook 2 is a stunning 2-in-1 lightweight laptop that features a 13.3-inch Full HD+ display with touchscreen functionality and USI Pen capability.
The convertible features a 360-degree hinge to flex in four different modes – laptop, tablet, tent, and flat. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 was unveiled at CES 2021 last month and now it will be available for pre-orders in the United States. The Chromebook 2 can either be ordered through Samsung’s official website or Best Buy and it’ll start shipping by March 1, 2021.

The Galaxy Chromebook 2 comes with a 13.3-inch QLED touchscreen display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and 100 percent DCI-P3 color volume. The laptop has a metal body while its 360-degree hinge makes it a 2-in-1 convertible laptop, allowing you to flex it in four different modes.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by the Intel Core i3 (10110U) 10th-gen processor, which gives a base clock speed of 2.1GHz and Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz. The laptop’s graphics are powered by Intel while it is capable of supporting a 4K external monitor. There is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard (expandable to 1TB via microSD card).
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB Type-C ports, and a headphone + mic combo port. Moreover, there are also dual 5W speakers, a 720p HD webcam, a backlit keyboard, and more. The 45.5WHr battery will help the laptop last up to 13 hours on a single charge with its 13.9mm thickness and 1.22kg weight will make it incredibly lightweight to carry around.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 price and availability
Samsung’s new Galaxy Chromebook 2 is available in two exciting variants. The variant with Intel Celeron 5205U CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage is priced at $549.99 (approx. ₹40,000) while the variant with the Intel Core i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage will cost $699.99 (approx. ₹60,000).
The Chromebook 2 laptops will come in two color options – Fiesta Red and Mercury Grey. The laptop can be pre-ordered on either BestBuy or Samsung’s official website. There is no official information release on the global release of the Chromebook 2 and its release in India. However, more information is expected to come out in the coming weeks.
