Samsung is going to launch a new smartphone in India, dubbed Samsung Galaxy A12, the successor of Samsung Galaxy A11. The A12 series was launched in November 2020 for the European markets. Although there has been no confirmed price for the new phone, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be launched in India in February and will hit both retail as well as online markets.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 reportedly has cleared the BIS or Bureau of Indian Standards certification in January 2021. According to a popular leakster, Ishan Agarwal, the phone will launch next week in India.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy A12 model is expected to start from INR 15,800 for its base models. The Galaxy A12 phone will come in four colors- black, blue, white, and red colors and three variants of storage – 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (ROM), 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, and 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. However, it is unclear if all three variants will be available in India.
Powered by an octa-core processor of 2.3GHz Cortex A53 with MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, the Android-based Samsung Galaxy A12 has a teardrop notch that provides an 8MP selfie camera. The rear cameras consist of four variants and they are, 48MP wide-angle camera, 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro angle camera, and a 2MP depth quad camera.
The battery life of the new Samsung Galaxy A12 is expected to be good as it is powered by a 5000mAh battery and also supports fast charging with 15W. The new phone will also come with a dual SIM option, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and 4G connectivity speed. Along with these, the phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and grip sensor. Additionally, a microSD card slot (allows up to 1TB storage expansion), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C are also integrated into the new mobile phone series.
The new Samsung Galaxy A12 will be reasonable with limited features and will be launched on February 26, according to 91mobiles.com.
