Samsung Galaxy A12 is heading to India and it could be launched sooner than you think. Ahead of the official launch, a few specifications of the Indian version have been leaked alongside the price. According to the leak by popular tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Galaxy A12 is expected to arrive in India with identical specs as the global variant but with a few subtle modifications. The device could be launched with 4GB of RAM. Moreover, it could have either 64GB or 128GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Indian support page goes live
Samsung India now has a support page for the upcoming Galaxy A12, which only confirms that the device is likely to launch very soon. While it was recently reported that the device could be launched as early as next week, but Samsung hasn’t officially shared any release date yet.
Another reliable tipster Mukul Sharma seems to have confirmed the launch of Galaxy A12 while also sharing the expected camera specifications.

He shared on his Twitter account that a new Galaxy A series smartphone is heading to India and it is expected to be the Galaxy A12. He also shared some of the specifications, hinting that the device is expected to have a 48MP primary camera, a depth sensor, a macro lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Moreover, the device’s price tag is expected to be under ₹15,000.
Samsung Galaxy A12 expected specifications and features
The Galaxy A12 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity V display having a waterdrop notch and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, which is complemented well by PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage (expandable via a microSD card).
In terms of camera specs, the Samsung Galaxy A12 is expected to come with a quad rear camera setup, housing a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the front camera, it’ll sport an 8MP selfie cam.
The Galaxy A12 is likely to boot Android 10-based OneUI custom skin on top. Moreover, it packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Meanwhile, the sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and a fingerprint scanner.
Samsung originally released the Samsung Galaxy A12 in the European market in November last year. The 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant was priced at EUR 169 (approx. ₹14,900).
