The Redmi Max TV 86” has been officially launched in China on February 25 alongside the highly anticipated Redmi K40 series. Last year, Xiaomi released its largest-ever smart TV branded Redmi Smart TV Max 98” and now, the company follows up the launch by releasing the second-biggest Redmi TV to date.
The Redmi Max TV 86” comes with an array of stunning features including a 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, AI-related capabilities, Dolby Atmos, and more.
Redmi Max TV 86” specifications and features
Like the name suggests, this new TV launched by Redmi features an 86-inch LED-backlit LCD panel, making it the second-largest sized TV released by the company. It features a 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for a stunning viewing experience. For the unaware, the 98-inch TV launched last year didn’t have a refresh rate, but it did feature MEMC, something that is present in the new 86-inch model as well.
For the screen, it supports 10-bit color, HLG, HDR, HDR10, and Dolby Vision while covering 92 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Moreover, the TV is capable of offering a 178-degree viewing angle.
The Redmi Max TV will be powered by a quad-core CPU (ARM Cortex-A73) and ARM Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, which will be perfectly complemented by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For the software department, the TV will run on MIUI for TV 3.0 and come with smart features like the Xiao AI voice assistant.
The connectivity options on the Redmi Max TV 86” include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, 2xUSB Type-A, 3xHDMI, AV, ATV/DTMB, Ethernet, S/PDIF, and Infrared. One of the three HDMI ports will be v2.1 that comes with support for 120Hz Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode. Moreover, users will be able to connect their Xbox Series X or Sony PS5 to enjoy 4K 120Hz gaming.
For the audio, the new Redmi TV will come with 2 x 12.5 speakers that deliver a maximum sound output of 25W. The speakers will also support DTS-HD and Dolby Atmos.
