Realme recently introduced smartwatches like Realme Watch S and Watch S Pro to India. Shortly after that, the stories of successors to the first Realme Watch, the Realme Watch 2 and watch 2 Pro started appearing online. The Watch 2 moniker first popped up on the source code of the Realme Link App, and now, the ‘Pro’ branding seems to have been confirmed by the smartwatch’s appearance on FCC.
FCC listing hints at the square-shaped design of the smartwatch
Popular tipster Mukul Sharma posted about the upcoming Realme smartwatch appearing on FCC. The watch 2 Pro was spotted with the model number RMA2006 with the certification revealing that the Realme Watch 2 Pro will be the official name of the watch. While there wasn’t a lot of information revealed on the certification site, it did reveal that the watch will come with a square-shaped design with rounded corners.
One of the reports, which was meant for the placement of the FCC label on the watch hinted at the schematics. As shown in the image, there are cut-outs of the outer frame at the top and bottom for the placement of the straps. Towards the side, the is another cut-out, which could be for the single watch controls key.
Realme Watch 2 Pro expected specifications
Realme Watch 2 Pro is likely to pack a 390mAh battery and feature a square-shaped dial. The watch will support 2.5W charging and the battery will be bigger than its predecessor. While not a lot of information is available at the moment, Realme is expected to reveal official details soon.
Meanwhile, specifications and images of Realme Watch 2 were also spotted on the US FCC Certification site recently. The smartwatch was given the model number RMW2008 and listed with a user manual that included a number of key specifications.
The watch 2 is likely to be IP68-certified and feature a 1.4-inch TFT display. Moreover, it could also come with a 305mAh battery, blood oxygen monitoring, heart monitoring, and more.
Even though there isn’t a lot of official information available out there, but with the Realme Watch 2 Pro and Watch 2 receiving FCC certification and BIS appearance, it is likely that the smartwatches could be launched in India soon.
