Nubia Red Magic 6 to launch on March 4 with 120W fast charging

Nubia Red Magic 6 to come with Ice 6.0 cooling setup and Snapdragon 888 for an immersive gaming experience.

Nubia has confirmed that it’ll be launching the Nubia Red Magic 6 gaming series on March 4. The smartphone lineup will be featuring vanilla and Pro options with the vanilla version teased to pack a 120W fast-charging support.

The coming months are expected to be huge, especially for the gaming smartphone segment as brands like Nubia and Black Shark are expected to unveil their next big gaming smartphones. The Red Magic 6 will carry a bunch of impressive specifications, a high-end chipset, and fast charging capabilities.

120W fast charging can charge the battery from 0 to 50% in under 5 minutes

Ahead of the launch, the brand has teased that the vanilla variant will carry a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Ni Fei, the CEO of the company, confirmed that the device will ship with a proper charger in the box and further explained that it’ll allow the phone to go from 0 to 50 percent in under 5 minutes.

While one might think that mathematically, the phone will get charged 100 percent in just 10 minutes but the rate tends to be reduced once the battery is nearing its peak. It is done to prevent the phone from damage. However, the phone is expected to get 100 percent charged in less than 20 minutes.

Nubia Red Magic 6 cooling feature to offer an immersive gaming experience

Dubbed as Ice 6.0, the Nubia Red Magic 6 will include advanced cooling to give a stunning gaming experience. The device uses an air duct, with the new 20,000rpm active fan that sucks air and avoids heating the phone.

There is a copper foil that covers the battery whereas the vapor chamber (which Nubia claims is the world’s thinnest at 0.33mm) will sit behind the motherboard. There is also a graphite layer to disperse heat away from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.

The cooling system inside the Nubia Red Magic 6 will deliver over two hours of continuous gaming without the device getting hot.

For other features, previous reports have leaked that the device is expected to come with a Full HD display with a 1080p resolution, a 144Hz screen refresh rate, and a lot more.
