Nokia just launched a new smartphone, named Nokia 3.4, to cater to the sub-₹15,000 market. The Nokia 3.4 is priced at ₹11,999. The Nokia 3.4 is the successor of the Nokia 3.2, which the company launched in India back in 2019. With the Nokia 3.4, you get the promise of guaranteed Android updates and a clean stock software experience. Does this phone offer the best value? Let’s take a look at what it offers for the price
The newly launched Nokia 3.4 is not a high-end smartphone but the price of the smartphone justifies all the features integrated into the phone which makes it a good deal. Running on Android 10, it comes with the latest February Android security patch and is Android 11 ready, with two years of software updates guaranteed by HMD Global along with three years of Android security updates. The phone is also expected to get Android 12 in the future. The long-term software updates have been looked into properly which does not come in every phone in this price range.
As for the Nokia 3.4 design, the phone comes in three colors – Charcoal, Fjord, and Dusk with a textured finish at the back, the phone has a polycarbonate body with a 6.39-inch HD+ display (720*1560 pixels) and an IPS LCD panel. The corners are round and include slight curves at the back of the Nokia 3.4 giving an easier grip. Located on the right side of the phone are the power and volume buttons and the SIM slot along with the Google Assistant button is located on the left side of the phone. Top of the Nokia 3.4 is the headphone jack of 3.5 mm and at the bottom are the speakers along with the USB-C port. The fingerprint sensor or scanner is placed right below the rear cameras.
There are four cameras in total, an 8MP selfie camera with a hole-punch design at the left corner and a 13MP primary camera, 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor at the back.
The Nokia 3.4 also comes with a strong battery life that Nokia claims to last up to two days. With a 4000mAh battery, a 5W charger comes with the box. If not two days, the battery life of Nokia 3.4 will last at least a day or over a day. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC, the processor is less than average.
There is only one variant in regards to storage space in this phone and that is 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There might be other variations of storage coming in the near future, as of now there remains a single variant.
The Nokia 3.4 goes on sale starting from February 20, in various online stores. Along with the Nokia 3.4, HMD Global has also launched the Nokia 5.4 which went on sale around February 17.
