Infinix might be a relatively new name for global customers but it has been smashing the smartphone market ever since it released the Infinix Smart 5 back in August. Now, Smart 5 is making its way to the Indian market but with a ton of upgrades and better features. The new budget smartphone will come with a wide array of mouth-watering features and a price that will appeal to everyone.
Anish Kapoor, the CEO of Infinix India, claims the company has massive improvements and continuously evolved the products. Moreover, he accepted that the company has come a long way since releasing Smart 4, a smartphone that focused primarily on convenience and utility.
The Smart series is a budget smartphone series that will feature extra-ordinary specs in terms of display, battery, processor, and more for easy-to-afford prices.
Infinix Smart 5 specifications and features
The Infinix Smart 5 features a 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution. Moreover, it sports a waterdrop notch and a 90.66 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset that features eight Cortex-A53 cores and IMG PowerVR GE8320 for graphical tasks. The powerful processor, when coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (expandable via microSD card slot), will make it a decent smartphone to stream movies, multitask, and play games. Moreover, it comes with Android 10 OS with the latest XOS 7 skin out of the box.
In terms of camera specifications, the Smart 5 features a large camera island, housing a 13MP AI Dual Rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. For the front camera, the phone comes with an 8MP selfie cam.
The smartphone packs a massive 6,000mAh battery, which is capable of offering up to 50 hours of standby time. While it might take some time to charge the device (because of the micro USB port limitation), it does last for a long time as you can stream movies, TV shows, surf the internet, and play games for a long time before having to charge again.

Infinix Smart 5 availability and price in India
The Infinix Smart 5 has been launched in India and is priced at just ₹7,199 for the 2GB RAM+32GB storage variant while the other variant will cost more.
Infinix claims that the smartphone will come with additional Jio offers and benefits worth ₹4,000 and cashback vouchers worth ₹2,000, and partner brand coupons worth ₹2,000 as well.
The Infinix Smart 5 will go on sale on Flipkart from February 18 and will be available in a number of exciting color options – Morandi Green, Obsidian Black, Aegean Blue, and 7° Purple.
