Back in May’20, Huawei officially unveiled ‘FreeBuds 3i’, its latest wireless earphones that offered up to 17 hours of battery and active noise cancellation. According to reports, Huawei is set to be working on the successor, dubbed ‘Huawei FreeBuds 4i’, and it has already appeared on the SIG Bluetooth certification site.
Huawei’s new headset receives Bluetooth and charging interface boost
Huawei’s upcoming Bluetooth headset, FreeBuds 4i recently received the SIG Bluetooth certification, after already having received the SGS Fimko certification.
The certification information hints that the FreeBuds 4i is set to support Bluetooth v5.2. Moreover, the charging box of Huawei Freebuds 4i will come with a USB Type-C interface.
The FreeBuds 4i is likely going to be the successor of the FreeBuds 3i and is set to receive numerous major upgrades. Similar to its predecessor, the FreeBuds 4i will also support active noise reduction. The big advantage will be in its Bluetooth rating. Unlike its predecessor that supported Bluetooth v5.0, the FreeBuds 4i will come with support for Bluetooth v5.2. Moreover, the inclusion of USB Type-C charging interface is also a huge upgrade.
Huawei FreeBuds 4i to receive major upgrades over its predecessor
The FreeBuds 3i featured an ergonomic design and a sleek appearance. Moreover, it had a 10mm large-size dynamic driver unit, multiple microphones, and the capacity to provide 3.5 hours of continuous audio playback time. The FreeBuds 4i is expected to come with a few major hardware upgrades and design improvements as well.
The TWS earbuds’ appearance on the Bluetooth Certification site already revealed it’ll come with a Li-ion battery and be charged via a USB Type-C port. The Huawei FreeBuds 3i is priced at just ₹9,990 and comes in two exciting colors – Ceramic White and Carbon Black. This means the FreeBuds 4i could come in similar colors and be priced accordingly.
