Is Google working on foldable Pixel smartphone?

The Google foldable phone will probably have a 7.6 inches screen size that will be similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Google is reportedly working on a foldable Pixel phone and quite possibly might launch it at the end of this year.  Samsung Display is supplying the foldable panels to Xiaomi, OPPO, and Google as per the reports of The Elec.

Jon Prosser, a popular YouTuber, has tweeted that the Google foldable phone is coming likely at the end of this year or early next year. Although it is unknown what foldable design will it integrate, it is expected that the Google foldable phone will integrate a vertical foldable design. The Google foldable phone will probably have a 7.6 inches screen size that will be similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The price is also unknown, but can be expected to have a high price range, considering the current prices of foldable phones in the market. The Google foldable phone might have mid-range specs as apparent from other Google’s smartphones. Other reports say that the Google foldable phone could be codenamed as ‘Passport’.

With the release of the Android 10, Google has added support for foldable phones, including native support for different folding patterns.

Although no official statements have been made in this regard, we can expect major developments within this year as more tech giants and companies are looking into the development of foldable smartphones.
