Asus is working on a new phone under the ZenFone series, the ZenFone Mini that will be quite compact and smaller than the ASUS ZenFone 6 and ASUS ZenFone 7. It has been speculated that ASUS drew inspiration for this upcoming phone from Apple’s iPhone 12 mini that was launched just last year.
Despite having demands, ASUS fell short on the supply chain and its scarce components made it difficult for the company to meet the demands due to the pandemic. However, ASUS plans to change it this year. In order to expand its profit, ASUS is planning to release ROG Phone, the ROG Phone 5 along with the ASUS ZenFone Mini.
According to DigiTimes, the ZenFone Mini is a compact flagship smartphone for those who like small yet premium smartphones. The new ASUS ZenFone Mini will come with a display of either 6 inches or smaller but not less than 5.5 inches.
The phone is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor or Snapdragon 870 and might also integrate a few designs from the previous ASUS ZenFone 6 and ZenFone 7 including their flip camera module. The price of the phone will be reasonable given its size.
The cameras of the new ASUS ZenFone Mini will also be flagship-grade and will integrate good cameras. The new phone will have a powerful battery with at least 30W fast charging. However, no other detail or information about the ASUS ZenFone Mini is available at the moment.
The launch date of the ASUS ZenFone Mini is not released yet but speculations suggest that it might be launched in the later half of the year.
