Xiaomi Mi 11 spotted on the US FCC certification site, hinting at the launch of global version soon

Xiaomi Mi 11 was launched in China last month, becoming the world’s first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC. Xiaomi is now gearing up to unveil the flagship in global markets with the reports suggesting that the company is also in the works for the Mi 11 Lite.

Last week, Xiaomi hinted at the arrival of the Mi 11 for the global market after it released the phone in late December. Now, it seems imminent that the phone will be launched globally as it was spotted on the US FCC certification website.

FCC listing hints at Mi 11 Global version launch

The Xiaomi Mi 11 was spotted on the US FCC listing with the model no. M2011K2G, which matches the model no. of Xiaomi 11.

Before the smartphone popped up on the FCC certification site, it has already been spotted on other certification sites like Russia’s EEC and Singapore’s IMDA. The listing revealed that the phone will run on MIUI 12 out of the box and come with features like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GNSS, and 5G technology.

Moreover, a Xiaomi exec reassured the fans that the device will soon be available globally. Rumors are pointing towards a February launch with the agency revealing several units with three different memory configurations – 6GB RAM+128GB storage, 8GB RAM+128GB storage, and 8GB RAM+256GB storage. It also suggests that the global version will miss out on the variant with 12GB of RAM.

The FCC document further revealed that the smartphone will come in three variants. In China, Xiaomi launched a variant with 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage but that will not be available in the global version. The other specifications of the device include a 6.81-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC and comes with 6GB/8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of camera specifications, it’ll come with a 108MP primary camera, a 13MP super-wide sensor, and a 5MP telephoto macro sensor. Moreover, it packs a 4,600mAh battery with support for 55W fast charging technology, 10W reverse wireless charging, and 50W fast wireless charging.
