Vivo Y20G launched with Helio G80 SoC and HyperEngine Game technology

Vivo Y20G was added to the Vivo's Y lineup as it features the Helio G80 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery

Vivo has officially announced the Vivo Y20G smartphone to add to the Y20 series that already consists of Y20, Y20s, Y20A, Y20i, and Y20 (2021).

The sixth variant of Vivo Y20, the Y20G is built around a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style display notch. The device features a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and packs a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone is manufactured at Vivo’s Greater Noida facility in India and contributes to the ‘Make in India’ program by the government.

Vivo Y20G features a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a 720×1,600p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which is complemented well by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device incorporates the latest HyperEngine Game Technology, which speeds up the game loading time while providing a seamless gaming experience. Moreover, it runs on FunTouch OS based on Android 11 OS out of the box and packs a 5,000mAh battery.

In terms of camera specifications, the device features a triple rear camera that houses a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For the rear camera setup, it houses an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture.

The connectivity options on this handset include 3G and 4G connectivity (with support for Band 40, which is used by a few LTE networks in India), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, FM Radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. the sensors on the Vivo Y20G include a compass/magnetometer, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that Vivo claims unlocks the smartphone in 0.17 seconds.

This dual SIM (GSM + GSM) device accepts Nano-SIM cards while it measures 164.41 x 76.32 x 8.41 mm and weighs 192.00 grams.

Vivo has expanded its popular Y-series with the launch of the new Vivo Y20G handset. The device comes with a starting price of ₹14,990 for the sole 6GB of RAM+128GB storage variant. It is available in two exciting color options – Purist Blue and Obsidian Black on Vivo’s Indian E-store, Flipkart, Amazon, Tatacliq, Paytm, and across major partner retail stores.
