Tecno mobile launches its ‘Camon 16 Premier’ in India

  • The phone will be available for purchase through Flipkart from January 16 at noon
  • Along with an 8GB RAM, the phone has an internal storage of 128GB that can be expanded up to 256GB via an external microSD card

The Shenzhen based smartphone manufacturer Tecno Mobile has launched its new smartphone in India, known as Tecno Camon 16 Premier, which was initially unleashed in Kenya. The phone is available in one colour option, Glacier Silver and it comes at a price of Rs. 16,999. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart on January 16 at noon.

Now, coming to the specifications, the all-new Tecno Camon 16 Premier flaunts a 6.85-inch full-HD+ display coupled with a resolution of 1,080×2,460 pixels, 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and 480nits peak brightness. Along with 8GB RAM, the phone has an internal storage of 128GB that can be expanded up to 256GB via an external microSD card. 

The photography department of the phone sports a quad rear sensor that comprises a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel low-light sensor furnished with Quad-LED flash. The selfie unit sports a dual-sensor;  a 48MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP secondary sensor with dual-LED adjustable flash support.

The device is backed by a 2.05GHz MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core chipset and is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It operates on Android 10-based HIOS v7 and there are various connectivity options available such as Bluetooth 5., Wi-Fi 802.11ac, a 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, and many more. The additional sensors comprise an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, distance reader, e-compass, and gyroscope.
