Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon 870 chipset as the successor to the hugely popular Snapdragon 865 chipset. It’ll be similar to the Snapdragon 865, except it will offer a boosted performance core. While the users were still waiting to see how the new chipset would affect the user experience, Motorola went ahead and announced an upcoming handset that features this chip.
Motorola Edge S expected specifications and features
According to rumors, the Edge S could feature a 6.7-inch display with a 1080p resolution, up to 150Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole screen. It is also tipped to feature a 64MP rear camera and dual 16MP front camera. In terms of battery, the device will pack a 5,000mAh battery.
The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which was recently announced as the upgrade to the Snapdragon 865 SoC. It is a slightly toned-down version of the Snapdragon 888 flagship SoC and built on the 7nm processor architecture with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. It also features the Adreno 650 GPU and supports Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and USB Type-C while also offering Spectra 480 ISP for imaging.
