Motorola Capri Plus spotted on NBTC, tipped to have Moto G30 as official name

Moto G30 spotted on the NBTC certification site, confirming the moniker Capri Plus

Motorola is scheduled to launch a bunch of exciting smartphones in 2021 with Motorola Capri Plus one of the devices that people are keen on. The smartphone manufacturer has already introduced the Moto G Play (2021), Moto G Stylus (2021), Motorola One 5G Ace, and Moto G Power (2021) earlier this month.

Motorola is planning to launch new handsets with codenames Motorola Capri, Capri Plus, and Nio in the future. From the latest reports, it seems like the Motorola Capri Plus has found a moniker – Moto G30. The new Motorola device was spotted on NBTC and its appearance on the certification site revealed some key information.

The appearance of Moto G30 on the NBTC Certification site confirmed that Moto G30 is indeed Capri Plus. This listing revealed that the device will have the model number XT2129-2, which is the same model number that was used for Motorola Capri Plus in the past.

Moreover, the Capri Plus was previously spotted on the Geekbench listing last month. The device scored 306 points for the single-core test while for the multi-core test it scored 1,259 points.

Before the device was listed on the NBTC certification site with the moniker Moto G30, a DealsNTech report claimed that the device will be launched with the name Motorola Capri Plus 21. It was tipped to launch with Motorola Capri 21, based on the US FCC listings.

Motorola Capri Plus expected specifications and features

The Motorola Capri Plus or Moto G30 is rumored to feature a 90Hz display with an HD+ resolution. It is expected to come in two variants – 4GB of RAM+64GB internal storage and 6GB of RAM+128GB internal storage.

In terms of camera specs, the device could feature a 64MP primary camera sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. For video calling and selfies, it is tipped to house a 13MP front camera.

On Geekbench, the device was listed with 4GB of RAM with Android 11 OS out of the box. Additionally, it is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC, and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
