Mi Watch Lite could soon arrive in India as the new smart wearable has just bagged the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification.
The watch made it to the global markets last month and now it is set to arrive in India soon. The Mi Watch Lite is listed on the BIS certification site as ‘Redmi’, hinting that it could be launched in India as the rebranded Redmi smartwatch. The smartwatch comes with 11 workout modes and can offer up to 9 days of battery life.
Mi Watch Lite spotted on BIS Certification site
According to reliable tipster Mukul Sharma, the new smartwatch was spotted on India’s BIS certification site with the model number ‘REDMIWT02’. Even though the model number corresponds to Mi Watch Lite that was announced in December, the certification website reveals the brand as Redmi. This means the Mi Watch Lite is expected to launch in India as the Redmi Watch.
Mi Watch Lite specifications and features
The smartwatch sports a 1.4-inch square LCD display that offers 11 sports modes including walking, open water swimming, cricket, indoor cycling, and more. The watch has 5ATM resistance, which allows it to work up to 50m of water. It also comes with sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, and also offers guided breathing exercises.
The Mi smartwatch packs a 230mAh battery that can fully charge in around two hours. The battery life can last up to nine days in typical usage and up to 10 hours in continuous GPS mode. The smartwatch has over 120 match face options and offers notifications for calls, weather control, messages, music controls, and more. It can be connected to smartphones on both Android and iOS platforms by downloading the supported app.
