Honor V40 was supposed to officially launch on January 18 but now it has been postponed to January 22. Honor announced on Weibo that the upcoming smartphone will be launched on January 22 and go on sale the same day.
Ahead of the official launch, a lot of information including the price, images, and key specifications have been leaked. Moreover, the poster shared by Honor also hints at the color options of the upcoming handset.
Honor V40 price and live images leaked ahead of the launch
There have been loads of leaks for the upcoming Honor phone and the latest report hints at the device’s pricing. The starting price of the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant is expected to be CNY 3,999 ($615). It was confirmed via a leaked phone vendor inventory listing and a Huawei store in China.
Besides that, a few hands-on images of the upcoming Honor phone were leaked ahead of the launch.

Honor V40 expected specifications and launch timings
Honor V40 is expected to feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is likely to be powered by a Dimensity 1000+ chipset and comes with Android 10-based UI 4.0 OS out of the box. In terms of camera specs, it is rumored to sport a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a dual selfie camera with a 32MP primary and a 16MP secondary sensor. Moreover, it’ll come with 55W wireless charging and 66W wired charging support.
Honor shared that the device’s new graphics acceleration engine, called the GPU Turbo X will make this V40 a masterful device for gaming. However, they left out how this feature works and other finer details. Honor announced on Weibo that the Honor V40’s official launch is postponed to January 22, citing equipment and conference venue related issues. The launch event will take place on January 22 at 10:00 AM local time (7:30 AM IST) and the device will go on sale the same day from 12:00 PM local time (9:30 AM IST).
The official poster shows that the device will come in a number of exciting color options including Phantom Night Black, Titanium Sky Silver, and Rose Gold. The device is already listed on Suning, a big-name Chinese online retailer.
