The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021 awards organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is all set to be held on January 11 and has already announced the CES 2021 Innovation Award Honorees. The first category titled ‘Mobile Devices’ saw eight smartphones along with 28 other categories, which were highlighted for bringing “outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products”. From design, innovation, gaming, to price, these phones, and other gadgets are truly deserving of the CES 2021 Innovation awards.
The eight smartphones that have received awards in the ‘Mobile Devices’ category are – Asus ROG Phone 3 & Asus ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, LG Wing, LG Velvet 5G, TCL 10 5G UW, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G or Note20 Ultra 5G, Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, and OnePlus 8 Pro. The panel of 89 judges, who are ‘industry-experts’, selected the winners of CES 2021.
One Plus 8 Pro
The panel of experts has called One Plus 8 Pro a ‘leading mobile smartphone’. The One Plus 8 Pro comes with a fluid engine that provides exceptional seamless onscreen content and also has a very innovative MEMC technology that ensures a smooth motion. To make it better, it is also one of the devices that can automatically switch from a 5G network to a non 5G network while extending battery life.
Samsung Galaxy A51 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is ‘at a great value’ as mentioned by the same panel of experts and rightfully so because the price of the device starts from INR 20,000 that comes with a sleek design and shimmering holographic finish. A 6.5-inch widescreen Infinity-O display makes it worth the buy.
LG Wing
LG Wing, which is the first and only swivel screen phone, is another deserving candidate for the CES 2021 Innovation award. The design of the LG Wing is noteworthy with a 3.9-inch secondary display right below the main display which is a 6.8-inch OLED.
LG Velvet 5G
The LG Velvet 5G, one of the honorees, comes with a premium design with ergonomic 3D arc edges, a 6.8 inch OLED display, and an impressive 3D sound engine and stereo speakers. This smartphone is also shock, water, and dust resistant.
Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G / Note20 Ultra 5G
The Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G or Note20 Ultra 5G provides the ultimate gaming experience, comes with a director-grade 8K camera, and is a multitasking computer suite.
Asus ROG Phone 3 and Asus ROG 3 Kunai Gamepad
The Asus ROG Phone 3 has been awarded for thermal solution, premium sound, and ‘simple yet futuristic game-centric design’, and the ROG 3 Kunai Gamepad is also quite impressive with its gaming.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G
Samsung also has gotten honorable mentions for Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Buds Live TWS earbuds. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is a foldable smartphone that will fit into your pocket as it comes with a flexible display. It has a dual battery that will last the entire day.
TCL 10 5G UW
TCL 10 5G UW has been awarded because of the unusual design of its camera and few other features with sophisticated names such as the 6.53” Full HD+ NXTVISION display, the Super Bluetooth audio sharing capabilities, and the versatile NXTVISION 48 MP AI-powered triple rear camera. The TCL 10 5G UW is available in the United States at only one carrier.
Reyzen 5000 series has also bagged the CES 2021 ‘Best of Innovation Award’ along with TWS ANC Pros, Audeze Penrose headset, and Asus ROG Kunai 3 mobile gamepad have also received honorable mentions in other categories.
