Xiaomi officially unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 11 in China, as the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It is being claimed that Mi 11 will feature Xiaomi’s most advanced display.
Features and Specifications
One of the key features of Xiaomi Mi 11 is that it is the first smartphone to debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which was unveiled earlier this month. The smartphone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12.5. Mi 11 is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offers a 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Mi 11 features a 6.81 inch 2K WQHD (1,440×3,200 pixels) AMOLED display with 1500 nits of peak brightness, 5000000:1 contrast ratio, and 515PPI of pixel density. It comes with a punch-hole display and includes a 120 Hz refresh rate, which depending on the usage can go down up to 30 Hz. The display comes with HDR10+ and Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC) support, P3 colour spectrum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This makes Mi 11 the second smartphone to features this Gorilla Glass protection after Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. The company claims that Mi 11 has already achieved the A+ rating from the screen analysis firm DisplayMate.
Coming to its camera- Xiaomi Mi 11 comes with a 108-megapixel primary rear camera, 13-megapixel secondary sensor that has a field-of-view (FoV) of 123 degrees, and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor, that has a focal length equivalent to 50 millimetres and a 20MP front camera. The company has also developed a proprietary feature to capture low-light videos.
Xiaomi Mi 11 packs a 4,600mAh battery that supports Mi TurboCharge 55W wired and 50W wireless charging. It also features a 10W wireless reverse charging support. The standard version of Mi 11 does not come with an in-box charger, while its bundled version will include with a separate 55W GaN charger.
Mi 11’s connectivity option includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port. Along with that, the smartphone comes with stereo speakers-backed by Harman Kardon audio. It also comes with a display fingerprint sensor that doubles as a heart rate monitor.
Availability and Price
Mi 11 is available in China for pre-order, and the sale would start from January 1, 2021, in the country. It offers different variants like 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant that is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs. 45,000); 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,299 (approx Rs. 48,300); and the highest model 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs. 52,800). Mi 11 comes with anti-glare (AG) frost glass finish in Horizon Blue, Frost White, and Midnight Gray colour variants along with a vegan leather version in Lilac Purple and Honey Beige shades.
There is no update on Xiaomi Mi 11’s global launch.
