Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo launches its new 5G smartphone in China, the iQoo U3

The phone’s delivery will be available from December 18 onwards and is now already available for pre-sale

 

Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo has now launched its new 5G smartphone on its home soil in China, dubbed as the iQoo U3, whose delivery will be available from December 18 onwards and is now already available for pre-sale.

The phone is live on Vivo’s official global website and is listed on China’s JD.com. The phone is available in two variants; a 6GB+128GB ROM is priced at CNY 1,498 (approx. Rs. 16,800), while the 8GB+128GB ROM carries a price tag of CYN 1,698 (approx. Rs. 19,100). The phone is already available from pre-orders today and will be available until December 17 midnight. Moreover, this device appears in two colour variants; Too Early Black and Glow Blue. The availability of this phone outside its home soil is yet to be announced.

Coming to the specifications, the phone is backed by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset coupled with an 8GB RAM and is powered by a 5,000mAH battery, which further supports 18W Dual Engine fast charging.

Speaking about the phone’s optical department, it sports a dual rear sensor, a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone feature an 8MP sensor. The photo platform has various options such as Night scene, portrait, dynamic photo, panoramic, and more.

The iQoo U3 sports a 6.58-inch (1080×2408 pixels) LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. It is a dual-SIM phone that operates on iQoo UI 1.5 based on Android 10. The connectivity of the device includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C, and a 3.55mm headphone jack. The phone also sports various sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
