Vivo introduced its Vivo Y51 back in December 2015 and now Vivo has released a new smartphone under that series. The company will soon be launching be making its way to India but for now it is only launched in Indonesia. It is very different from the version released in Pakistan as it comes with a better design with improved specs. The mid-range smartphone will soon be releasing in India. It has already received the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification.
Vivo Y51 (2020) specifications and features
The Vivo Y51 (2020) features a massive 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 1080x2408p resolution. The display is slightly bigger than the model that was launched in September. It is powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC and comes packed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In comparison, the Pakistan variant features 4GB of RAM, so the new model is already an upgrade in this aspect. The dual-SIM device comes with Android 11-based FunTouch OS 11 out of the box.
The upcoming Vivo Y51 (2020) variant also features a triple camera setup with a unique camera module design on the rear. It houses a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Moreover, the camera app also features a slow-motion recording, night filter, and super night mode. Towards the front, the handset features a 16MP selfie cam with f/2.0 aperture.
In terms of battery, the phone features a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. In comparison, the Pakistan variant features a 4,5000mAh battery. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB OTG, USB Type-C, and more. Moreover, it features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and weighs just 188 grams.

Vivo Y51 (2020) expected price
The new Y51 (2020) Indonesia variant is available for IDR 3,599,000 (approx. ₹18,800) for the 8GB of RAM + 128GB storage variant. Moreover, it will come in two exciting color options – Crystal Symphony and Titanium Sapphire. The handset is available for pre-order and will have offers including a 30% Vidio discount voucher and a bundled Vivo smartwatch among others.
