Vivo has announced that its Vivo X60 series will be officially launched on December 29th. The series will consist of two models – the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro. Vivo shared a poster on Weibo teasing the fans ahead of the official launch. The poster displayed the rear panels of the handsets and hinted at a few other key specs. The new Exynos SoC will power the upcoming X60 series and it will also feature the Night Vision 2.0 camera mode.

Vivo posted a teaser on Weibo, a Chinese micro-blogging website, teasing the launch of the upcoming Vivo X60 series. Vivo partnered up with the German optical company Zeiss to develop the camera setup in the upcoming series. The phones will come with ultra-stable micro-head camera sensors.
Moreover, the teaser also hints at some of the design details in the devices. The handsets will be available in white, grey, and gradient color options. Reports hint that the new phones will have a slim profile with the X60 Pro sporting a quad camera and X60 housing a triple rear camera. The lenses will be backed by Zeiss options. The phones will get advanced ultra-stable micro-head camera sensors to click stunning photos. This is likely going to be an upgrade over the gimbal stabilization of the predecessor Vivo X50 Pro.
Vivo X60 series rumored specifications
The Vivo X60 series is set to feature the new Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. This chipset is an octa-core CPU based on Samsung’s 5m EUV manufacturing process. This will come with four 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores, three 2.6Hz Cortex-A76 cores, and one 2.8GHz Cortex-A78 core. The series will come with the OriginOS out of the box, which is Vivo’s new OS on top of the Android OS.
The Vivo X60 series is also expected to feature 120Hz AMOLED displays and in-screen fingerprint sensors. The X60 is likely to be around 7.3mm in terms of thickness, making it the slimmest 5G smartphone in the world. Another report claims that the Vivo X60 retail price is expected to be CNY 3,500 (approx. ₹39,400). Vivo is yet to clarify whether the X60 series will be released outside China or not.
