Samsung’s own custom interface on top of Android, One UI is on the verge of getting a new version 3.0. The company has been testing One UI 3.0 beta version since four months now. However, with 2020 fast reaching its close, Samsung has picked up pace and released a rough timeline schedule for the rollout of the new stable version. Well, sort of. The rollout timeline was spotted on the Samsung Members app for Egypt users. So, we might not see the exact same time frames in our regions such as India. However, being official stuff, it does give us a good enough starting point to guess when it might drop in India and Asia.
It is worth noting that the update will be prioritized for people who have the beta already. So far, Samsung has rolled out One UI 3.0 betas for the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note 10 series, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Z Fold 2. As mentioned earlier, this is a rough schedule, which is apparent from the “Preparing in” wording used in the official material. That means the launch should be somewhere in the same region. To give a general perspective, Samsung’s top brass, the flagships, will get the One UI 3.0 at the earliest which is Q1 of 2021.
It stretches to as far as May 2021 and also excludes many recent Samsung mid-rangers such as the ones on the M series. In fact, there are only three M series phones included here. So, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Samsung add a few more to this release schedule in the coming weeks and months.
