To help the Indian travel industry recover from the pandemic losses, the search engine giant Google has unleashed a new website, known as Travel Insights with Google. The website can be used by hotel chains, travel sectors, booking agents and other hospitality departments that will help them analyze the current trends and make decisions accordingly. The website will assist them in craft the required changes to get things back on track again.
The tool can offer two kinds of time-specific trends; Hotel Insights and Destination Insights upon how users search their data.
According to Google, the destination tool is going to offer a crystal-clear picture of the top sources of demand for a destination, preferred destinations by the traveller in their own country, and the new places they are most interested in visiting.
Google said, “This will help the industry map out a possible resumption of travel on specific routes and make choices about where to communicate with potential future travellers.”
The Hotel Insights tool is going to provide some relief to the hotel chains including small and medium-sized. The tool will aid them to identify travel demand and from the geography they are coming from, and get tips, advice, and tools to make their business profitable online as well.
Explaining the tool, Google added in its note,” For instance, in the month of November, growth in search interest for domestic travel to cities such as Shirdi, Chandigarh, and Bagdogra was strong. In this same period, travellers in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Gujarat top the searches for accommodation options. The tool also provides granular insights into travel demand for single geographies split by Air travel demand and demand for accommodation”
