Amazfit GTS 2 Mini, Amazift Pop Pro go official in China

Amazfit's parent Huami has unveiled six watches this year, but it isn't done just yet.

Amazfit has today added to its impressive portfolio of smartwatches with two more offerings. The fitness tracker maker has released the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini and the Amazfit Pop Pro in China. From a general perspective, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini is the smaller sibling (and cheaper) of the Amazfit GTS 2, as the name itself implies. On the other hand, the Amazfit Pop Pro is an enhanced version of the Amazfit Pop that is available in China. 

Amazfit GTS 2 Mini: Specifications, Features

Delving into the specifics, for starters, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini is smaller and more curvy and is aimed at millennials. It is also thinner and lighter. It resembles more the Fitbit rather than the Apple Watch.  

In terms of specifications, the GTS 2 Mini brings a 1.55-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 354 x 306 pixels and 301 PPI pixel density. The smartwatch is backed up by a 220mAh battery which can last to up to 14 days of battery life with typical use and up to 21 days of battery life in long battery life mode. It is also indeed 5 ATM (50m) water-resistant. 

As far as connectivity goes, the GTS 2 Mini offers Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, GPS and GLONASS. 

For software, the watch comes with 70 built-in Sports Modes tracking alongside in-depth sleep and activity tracking. It has a bunch of other health sensors such as a BioTracker, 2PPG (support blood oxygen) biological data sensor and the standard Accelerometer, Gyroscope sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, ambient light sensor. It does also come with a microphone to interact with voice assistant – Xiao AI. As with all Amazfit offerings, the watch works with both iOS and Android. 

Amazfit GTS 2 Mini: Prices

The Amazfit GTS 2 mini comes in Deep Pine Green, Rose Pink and Obsidian Black colours, is priced at 699 yuan (Rs. 7,845 approx.) in China. We expect the watch to be launched in India sometime in the future. 

Amazfit Pop Pro: Specification, Features

As for the Amazfit Pop Pro, It is the Amazfit POP with a GPS. Hence, it shares almost all of its DNA with its older sibling. It features a 1.43-inch TFT touch display with a resolution of 320 x 302 pixels and is backed by a 225mAh battery which can last up to 9 days on a single charge. It is also 5ATM water-resistant and offers a bevy of fitness features. Those are an optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor, and a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope as well as GPS. 

In terms of features, the Amazfit Pop Pro supports 60 sports modes and also has Amazfit’s own PAI health assessment system. As a smartwatch, it offers notification support, remote camera controls, weather, and music controls

Amazfit Pop Pro: Prices

The Amazfit Pop Pro, which is the cheaper product here, is priced at 399 yuan ( Rs 4,500 approx.) and is available in Black, Green, and Pink. Speculation is that it could launch as the Amazfit Bip U Pro in India soon.
