Amazfit will be making two additions to its existing portfolio of smartwatches on December 1. The company owned by Huami has teased the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini and the Amazfit Pop Pro. A teaser for the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini shares key specifications along with a launch date while a video teaser shared by company CEO Huang Wang also revealed the design of the wearable. As for the Amazfit Pop Pro, it looks like a better version of the Amazfit Pop that launched earlier and will be a bit more expensive.
Amazfit GTS 2 Mini
Coming to the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini, this model is also a lighter, thinner, more refined, as well as smaller than the Amazfit GTS 2, and is targeted at youth. A short video shared on the official Huami channel also shows a slightly curved display on the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini and one single button on the right side for navigation. The teaser shows Black, Green, and Pink colours with matching straps. It is also 5ATM water-proof and has a heart rate sensor, a number of sports modes and customizable watch faces. In any case, it is likely to borrow much of its feature sets from the Amazfit GTS 2. This model launched just a few weeks back with a rectangular 1.65-inch display with 341ppi pixel density and a peak brightness of 450 nits and packs a 246mAh battery that is claimed to offer a week of regular use or up to 20 days of battery life.
Amazfit Pop Pro
Coming to the Amazfit Pop Pro, this will be similar to the Amazfit Pop with the addition of a dedicated GPS sensor not found on the Pop. In terms of configuration, according to the official poster, the Amazfit Pop Pro weighs only 31g and is equipped with a 1.43-inch high-definition color screen. It will also have pressure monitoring, sleep monitoring, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen saturation detection, and multifunctional NFC. Hence, there’s little separating it from the Pop, at least from the teaser’s standpoint, but we should know more on launch day.
Judging from what we’ve been shown, we don’t expect much differences in prices either. The Amazfit Pop costs 349 yuan (~$60) so we can expect the Pop Pro to be priced slightly higher than that. As for the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini, it should also cost It’s around CNY999 ($150/€125) that is the price of the GTS 2. We also expect at least one of these models, preferably the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini to launch globally and in India in the coming weeks.
