October 2020, better known as Techtober in the smartphone industry for its avalanche of launches, is at its close. However, that’s not going to stop brands from launching phones, but the frequency will decrease. The Electronics knows of a few smartphones that are almost certain to launch. So, here are those expected to launch in November.
This launch is pretty much confirmed for November and Micromax is making a big meal out of it. Courtesy: the anti-China sentiment currently on the rise. Hence, the “Aaon Karein Cheeni Kum” advert campaign. The irony here is that the very smartphone that Micromax has teased shares some design traits with the Honor 9X which is a handset from Huawei’s sub-brand. It is expected to feature MediaTek G85 and G35 SoCs and the launch is slated to be November 3, 2020.
If leaks are to be believed, the Micromax In series will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ display. While a triple camera setup is expected on the higher-end In 1A model, the MediaTek G35-sporting Micromax In A will get a dual rear camera setup.
Redmi Note 10 or X
The Redmi Note 9 India launch got late due to the pandemic. However, the appearance of a model speculated to be Redmi Note 10 on Chinese 5G and TENAA certification websites has got the rumour mill churning that a launch is close. There’s talk that the Indian version will be 4G only for obvious reasons while a 5G variant will be offered in China.
Redmi has recently taken the India-first approach with Redmi Note series launches, so there won’t be any surprise if these handsets arrive first in India. However, there’s no official confirmation on this now.
From what little the rumour mill is churning, it can be said that the 4G model could sport one of Qualcomm’s unreleased 7xx series SoCs. There’s also likely support for 22.5W fast charging which isn’t very surprising.
Vivo V20 SE
The Vivo V20 SE looks primed for launch as Reliance Digital and Croma accidentally listed the price as well as specifications a couple of days ago. This handset should be a toned-down version of the Vivo V20 which is already on the market. From what we’ve seen on the leaked database, it is supposed to be Rs 4,000 cheaper. Nevertheless, expect a launch of the Vivo 20 SE very soon.
If the premature database leak is legit, the Vivo V20 SE features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone packs a 4,100 mAh battery with support for 33W flash charge via a USB Type-C port and power a Snapdragon 665 SoC along with a triple camera setup of 48MP + 8MP + 2MP.
The Vivo V20 SE’s price in India starts at Rs 20,990 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and will be available in Gravity Black colour, according to the leak.
Now, this isn’t exactly a new phone as it has already debuted in China, but there’s enough official evidence that it will launch in India soon. The only question is when. There are talks about a possible December launch as well but given Realme’s hyperactive launch sprees, we can’t rule out a November debut either. Furthermore, there’s also speculation of a Realme C17 launch in India as well.
The Realme X7 series will mark the arrival of powerful 5G Dimensity chipsets in India. The X7 rocks a Dimensity 800U processor while the Dimensity 1000+ processor powers the X7 Pro. Realme X7 5G features a 6.43-inch full HD+ display with 1080p resolution. It boasts quad-camera setup at the back which consists of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a couple of 2MP sensors.
Realme Watch S, S Pro
Smartphones aside, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed in his #AskMadhav show that the company will launch the two smartwatches in India. The official Twitter handle of Realme Pakistan confirmed Realme Watch S launch on November 2. So, the India launch shouldn’t be very far off considering Realme’s biggest customer base is in India.
The Realme Watch S is likely to sport an AMOLED 1.3-inch touch display and 15-day battery life. It should be available in blue, black, green, and yellow colours and run an optimised version of Realme UI.
This is by no means a complete list of upcoming launches as tech giants never fail to surprise. Hence, expect to see more unexpected launches as we head into November.
