Samsung Galaxy S20 FE price drops by whopping Rs 9,000

The smartphone is now available for Rs 40,999 with an option to land another Rs 3,000 off on the Samsung Shop app

The ongoing festive sale on e-commerce portals is offering some terrific deals for smartphone buyers. And the latest entrant is Samsung with a beefy discount of Rs 9,000 on its freshly-launched Galaxy S20 FE. This price cut on the premium Exynos-powered handset is likely to be temporary.

Furthermore, with a few more gymnastics, one can eke out another Rs 3,000 worth of coupons for an almost irresistible deal. Here are the details of these discounts.

Galaxy S20 FE discount details

First off, the discount is live and available only on Samsung’s official portal. From the promised Rs 9,000, a flat discount of Rs 5,000 can be availed by anyone. But to pry the additional Rs 4,000 discount, you’ll need an HDFC credit or debit card. With that, Rs 9,000 off already makes it a pretty good deal.

The phone was earlier being sold at Rs 49,999 and this discount puts it at Rs 40,999 which is right in the vicinity of flagship killers like OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 7T Pro.

However, you can land an additional Rs 3,000 off by using the Samsung Shop app. This discount will be in the form of coupons that will only be usable on select Samsung products, so this isn’t a straight forward discount. Be sure to take a glance at the terms and conditions of the offer once. Nonetheless, if availed, the Galaxy S20 FE will come down to an all-time low price of Rs 37,999.

Galaxy S20 FE Competition

Despite its perceived cons, such as the Exynos CPU and the not-so-premium plastic polycarbonate build, the Galaxy S20 FE looks like an excellent deal at the moment. For the Rs 37,999 price tag, Samsung offers most of its flagship-tier hardware and even IP68 ratings which aren’t present on any of the competing phones at this price point.

When it comes to competition, the Mi M10T Pro, Mi 10, and the OnePlus 8 5G are the other phones that are being offered at a discount right now.
