After dual, triple, and quad-camera phones, it’s the time for Penta-camera smartphones. After Nokia, Huawei and Xiaomi released Penta-camera phones, Samsung too has started working on bringing such technology to the market with its upcoming smartphone Galaxy A72.
Galaxy A72 will reportedly be released in the first half of 2021 and is expected to be priced in the mid-segment.
Galaxy A72 rumored specifications
Of the five cameras, Samsung Galaxy A72 will reportedly feature a 64MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, an 8MP telephone camera along with optical 3X zoom, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor.
Samsung is expected to incorporate a rectangular design to accommodate the five cameras. The device may also have Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) support and a 32MP front camera. It is expected to feature a 6.7-inch super AMOLED plus screen with 1080×2400 pixels resolution. It may have an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and may run on Android 10 OS. Also, it is expected to support 5G technology.
Additionally, Galaxy A52 is expected to accompany Galaxy A72 during the launch. Galaxy A52 will feature a quad-camera setup, just like its predecessor Galaxy A51. The electronics giant is expecting around $30 million from the sales of these two upcoming Galaxy A-series smartphones.
Samsung has also scheduled the launch of its new Galaxy F smartphone — Galaxy F41 — for October 8. It is confirmed to have a mammoth 6000mAh battery and a super AMOLED display.
